I'm excited to share the news that the YWCA Life Skills Coach Training is coming to Vancouver and will be delivered from July 20 to 24!
This Life Skills Coach training is for group leaders who work in social services, career counselling, education, mental health, human resources, rehabilitation, or as consultants and trainers.
Many people ask me about my training and how I came to the style of effective facilitation that I use. Back in the 90's when I obtained my training, it was offered at a local university (UFV) and was based on the NewStart model and YWCA's extensive Life Skills publications. Sadly, isn't currently offered at the local univ., so I was excited that the YWCA Toronto is traveling nationally to reach everyone.
In addition, I will be starting my own training with them, as part of my next application phase, in order to be a licensed YWCA Life Skills Coach Trainer... which means that, when successfully completed, I would be conducting this training in the future!
