Brenda was honoured to be a part of Tradeworks Training Society's C.O.R.E. (Construction Orientation to Retain Employment) program in the Downtown
Eastside district of Vancouver from August 2008 to March 2009. This initiative was in partnership with VANOC (the Vancouver Organizing Committee for
the 2010 Olympics), coordinated by Building Opportunties with Business Inner City Society, and funded under the Millennium Community Benefits
Agreement. There, she coordinated and facilitated the Stage 1 Pre-employment Training (Life Skills portion) of the program.
